Hi Sunchild-you are going to have the best time in New Zealand! Kiwi’s are super friendly and will open their homes and hearts to you. Like in all places-just be careful.

A great way to save the $ you do have is to becaome a woofer. You can puchase the wwoof book at a few health food stores and bikes shop in NZ. I am not sure of the cost-but its worth it.

When I was there it was 40.00 NZ$-not too bad. You work 4hours a day in exchange for food and bed. I met some really cool people and I picked some places that were in the middle of nowhere-and they were the best.
