Question

on 3/10/08, maybeamezzo asked about Mexico:

Hi all. Next week, I’m going to San Miguel de Allende, an old Spanish colony from the 1500 and 1600’s. I guess that the government has controled a lot of the modernization there so that it is a very authentic, historical place.
I was wondering if anyone has ever been there, and could tell me more about it, what the good restaurants are…etc.
Also, as a photographer, what are those not-to-be-missed places?

I spend time in San Miguel and there are photography opportunities EVERYWHERE you turn….a solid gringo restaurant is Hecho en Mexico and on the jardin (the sqaure) most are good as well. Good luck. Where are you staying and are you studying Spanish there? How did you pick San Miguel de Allende?
