Question

on 3/12/08, anw027 asked about United Kingdom:

I posted this in my profile too…

I am going to the UK this summer as part of a study abroad program and I am staying an extra 7-10 days afterwards. I am currently searching for quality, clean, inexpensive hostels in Edinburgh, Scotland, London, and in/around Stratford-Upon-Avon. Any suggestions?

I lived in Glasgow last year just around the corner from an adorable hostel called BlueSky.

http://www.blueskyhostel.com/

It runs about 10 quid a night and is the closest hostel in Glasgow to Byres Road, Kelvingrove Gardens etc. Best pubs in all the land are crawling distance away. There’s actually a great pub opposite the entrance to the hostel.

Plus the University of Glasgow is only 5 mins away, so there’s a huge student contingent in that immediate area.

Plus the tube station is only a 5 minute walk…and then only 2 stops until you’re in the heart of downtown Glasgow, (the biggest shopping district in the U.K outside of London).

If you want anymore tips on Scotland, lemme know!
