Question

on 6/25/08, Traversant asked about Japan:

Japanese regulations state you must show proof of a return ticket in order to enter the country. What if I do not have a return ticket to the USA but instead have a ticket to another country within the 90-day visitor period? Will they let me in with that?

That’s fine. They just want to make sure that, if you do not have a visa to stay in the country, then you are planning on leaving. As long as you have a plan to leave, with proof, then you shouldn’t have a problem. :)

Have fun! Japan is amazing! Definitely spend a few days or a week in Kyoto…best town in Japan…also see Mt. Fuji, which is totally worth the extra train travel.

That is fine if you have a ticket to another country. I just traveled to Japan last week and was in the same circumstance as you. I had absolutely no problem. Have tons of fun.
