Has anyone heard of the new visa Australia is bringing in to effect Sept 2007? It’s called Skilled – Recognised Graduate (subclass 476), and it allows recent grads 18 months of unrestricted work in the country. My question is – think there’s any way to buy a one-way ticket while on this visa to avoid losing money? Do you think it’ll be easy to be granted one?
From what I understand these aren’t easy to obtain. The government is granting them only to graduates of certain universities and in certain fields in demand in the country.
However, if you do apply for and receive a 18 month visa- we have 18 month Blue tickets on Qantas. If not, I recommend you obtain the $595 Australian work visa via AIFS. There are no work restrictions and these are quite easy to obtain.
