Has anybody stayed at Hotel Bondi on Bondi beach in Australia? I am going to be living in Canberra but would like to spend a night in Sydney on the way. I’ve been to Sydney many times so it would be nice just to hang out for the day in Bondi with a decent hotel so I can just throw my luggage on the floor, get over jet lag, watch tv, watch the surfers, etc. and just reacclimate to Australia before heading back to the hussle and bussle of Canberra.

I was looking at the swiss grand resort on Bondi but the Bondi hotel is considerably cheaper. Has anyone been there? is it ghetto? Usually I wouldn’t care but this time since its just one night I want to go somewhere nice.
