Hello there! How are you? Is time an aspect for you? If you’re traveling from Munich/Salzburg to Athens, the train would take awhile but it would definitely be scenic and adventurous. If you don’t have all the time in the world, a flight is a better idea. When are you trying to do this???? Let me know:)

.....well…..you can’t get to Athens by train from Germany haha…the Agean Sea kinda gets in the way… There is a boat that travels from Italy to Athens I believe. However, the best way is to fly (I’d say Nurenburg to Athens, around $230 round trip, possibly less, or even try and fly from Frankfurt). But I mean, if you are looking to get a Eurail pass, you can use it on that boat from Italy to Athens. But you probably won’t want to stay IN Athens….usually people island hop, and the islands are about 8 hours + or – each way from Athens or each other.
