Shanghai for an internship, thats incredible! I have never been to Shanghai but I have been to Hong Kong and had fun there. If you are interested in any sports or other activities. Do a search to find some local people or places that you may want to visit. I am into wakeboarding and found a local proshop owner. I contacted him about a month before I left and we started emailing back and forth. He introduced me to his friends and took me out for a little nightlife, plus we went wakeboarding in HK. It was a great time and meeting someone with the same interest in another culture is a wonderful experience.

Hope that helps!

That’s really cool! I’m going to Shanghai for an internship too, in the Pudong area. Anywho, go to the jin mao tower, walk around the Bund at night (lots of pretty lights), there are a lot of different shopping areas as well. (nu ren jie is a pretty good one) There are a lot of things to do, but I don’t remember them all. Good luck!

There is the Pearl Tower. You can see most of Shanghai on a clear day. Do not go unless the weather is good. The Nanjing Rd. area is nice. Many shops and it is pretty at night. Just watch out for the people that will try to sell you something or want to take you to an art show. Just keep walking when these people come up to you. There are river cruises. Take one a night.
