Photos from my trip to Greece
The seaside town south of Athens, in the territory of Attica, holds the ancient temple to Poseidon
The ruins at Knossos are partly restored. They were restored when it was first excavated by Arthur Evans and decorated in the art deco style of the period. Most of the painting on the ruins is reconstruction as well as the collumns
Phaistos is another Bronze Age palace like Knossos but it has not been reconstructed and offers a more accurate representation of what they looked like.
These caves are carved into the rock and during the sixties they were known as homes for the hippies. The town of Matala still retains the spirit of the sixties.
