Sixth grade . . . my first time in the UK & I was introduced to the Dutchess of York at Westminster Abbey. I demonstrated my appreciation by telling Fergie a “chicken crossing the road” joke which made it into the British tabloids.
Buckingham Palace has been the Royal family’s London home since 1837 and is the location of the Changing of the Guard which happens April through June every day at 11:30 am.
The Leadenhall Covered Market is on Gracechurch Street near the Lloyd’s of London building . . . it is famous for representing the area of London near the Leaky Cauldron and Diagon Alley in “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”
