This picture is of the J’ma al Fna in Marrakesh, Morocco. Everytime I look at this picture I am reminded of the exotic sights, sounds and smells of this busy and bustling central square. The fresh squeezed orange juice was amazing! My favorite city that I visited this past summer.
This was taken inside the Mezquita in Cordoba, Spain.
The Mezquita dates back to the 10th century when Cordoba was one of the largest, most prosperous cities in Europe, outshining Byzantium and Baghdad in science, culture and the arts. It was built by emirAbd ar-Rahman, who was one of the greatest rulers in Islamic history. In the middle of the Mezquita now lies a Rennaisance cathedral, built around the 16th century, although the actual building was consecrated as a Christian place of worship during the 1200s with the changing of the times.
Sunset in Cologne, Germany. A modern version of Micelangelo’s David with The Dom Cathedral seen in the background.
This is an authentic Egyptian Temple which was gifted to Spain. The blocks were shipped one by one and reassembled near the Palacio Real in Madrid.
