Spring Break Photo Contest Submissions
I took this photo from the top of the Eiffel Tower, looking down on the city below. It was night time, and the barges on the Seine River were lit up beautifully. I love how this photo turned out- it almost looks like a Monet painting!
I was frustrated with how the pictures of me in front of Constantine’s Arch never captured the entire structure. So I decided to stand on top of a trash bin, and had my friend snap this one of me.
i love this photo- it seems to capture the simple beauty of rural Greece. Taken on Poros Island.
I was bicycling around a small Dutch village (I can’t remember which now) when I saw this cow contentedly lounging in the grass. The color contrast was just amazing, so I stopped to take a picture.
After pedaling hard for awhile, I rested my bicycle against a bridge running across a small stream. The ducks and geese in the background added to the charm of the shot.
I wanted the famous London Underground phrase in a photo- I shot this just as a train was unloading.
I thought this Roman statue of Diana statue in the Louvre was just lovely. I asked the guard “Photo?” and he said “Oui.”
I craned my neck upward in the Paris Opera House to see the ceiling, and what I saw took my breath away.
I came across this one man band playing under a bridge across the Seine in Paris. I tossed a Euro coin into his hat, he winked at me, and I took a picture.
Taken atop horseback, this is a view of the misty Austrian Alps on a surprisingly chilly June morning, with a stable in the foreground.
Believe it or not, we had to ask a Londoner what “queue” meant as we were standing in line at this Underground ticket station.
