My photo album
My roommate and I met about three years ago by chance. I had requested a room change first semester and she had been living off campus. We are complete opposites and yet that works well for us. Really, she is like my second mother, in a good way. She is my voice of reason. Thats not to say we cant have fun. We have never really traveled together, mostly because we cannot afford to. But we do make trips to Wal-Mart on a regular basis. I think the best part about our friendship is that we are both easily entertained. All of our Wal-Mart runs include a free round of Guitar Hero or Rock Band. We also enjoy finding the most outlandish outfits possible and trying them on. Our next favorite activity is going to local restaurants. Most of them are pretty small and shanty looking, but you never know if it is good or not until you try. She sticks to the foods she knows and I get the food I cannot pronounce. We both have a policy of, “I will try everything once.” Not only are we easily entertained but adventurous. We like to take walks at anytime, anywhere. We take the road less traveled, or at least try to (it’s a bit difficult in small town Iowa). Daphne and I are an interesting pair. We make fun with anyone where ever we are. We are not afraid to try new things or meet new people. She is the navigator and I am the driver. I think Kermit the Frog and Fozzy the Bear are much like Daph and I; she says “bear left” and I say “right frog!” I know how much fun we have had traveling through Iowa, so I can only imagine what would happen if we were set loose in Australia.
My trip to Budapest. I felt like I had so much money, even though it was really only about 20 Euros.
