My photo album
She’s my roommate, my best friend, my cohort, my sister in spirit. I transferred to Drake University my junior year, not knowing anyone in Iowa, let alone Iowa. Begrudgingly, some of my friends talked me into going through the rush process for the sororities on campus to meet people. The seemingly best way to beat being a social outcast at my new school, despite my anxiety about the whole thing. This is how Maggie entered my life. I was asked to join Alpha Phi, and soon after that I met her. Funny, spontaneous, and carefree, I had met my best friend soul mate. Shortly after, we became roommates and best friends. We did everything cliche; laughed, cried, pulled practical pranks on unsuspecting victims, nothing was stopping us. She made college what it was supposed to be, great. What makes us deserving of this trip you might be asking yourselves? Well, we survived and conquered being roommates and still ended everything as best friends (not many people can claim that!) She and I are celebrating my 21st birthday in Vegas this year for the weekend, and I can’t think of a better birthday present then a trip to Australia with my best friend!
