My photo album
It all started with our first road trip as freshman at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. You see, our university doesn’t have a football team, therefore, every fall we must adopt a team (or multiple teams) to root for. This first trip sent us from Milwaukee to South Bend, Indiana to see Notre Dame take on Navy. Thus the beginning of the great tradition of football adventures, adventures being the key. Our adventures usually begin with only a ticket for the game, no maps needed, no hotel reservations, no plans but to see the game, meet some new and interesting people, and have an adventure! We’ve been all across the nation for college football, NFL, hundreds of baseball games, both majors and minors, to Europe for their football (soccer) and even Australia for their football (Ruby and Aussie Rules). We’ve gone to Ann Arbor with the intent to see the Badgers take on Michigan, but wound up in South Bend. We’ve gone to Knoxville without a place to stay, relying solely on the southern hospitality myth – which indeed is true. One summer, I was in New York for an internship, Austin was also doing an internship with the Hagerstown (MD) Suns (class A minor league baseball) and I decided to take a trip to catch some baseball and a tan – however, being the adventurous type (no maps, very little planning, etc…), I had to spend the night in Harrisburg, PA because the bus from Philadelphia only ran twice a day, and of course I missed it. However, I was able to make the most of my stop over and meet some great people at the Harrisburg Senators game. Everyone loves a couple of nice guys from Wisconsin in the never ending search for the best stadiums and greatest adventures.
