We’re going to Germany; we’ve gone to Japan.
We hop on a plane whenever we can.
We love meeting new people and seeing new faces,
And learning about all different races.
We’re always willing to try anything out.
Nothing will make us complain, whine, or pout.
We never let the weather conditions
Bring us down during our expeditions.
Meg’s my best friend, my traveling buddy.
Together we went to Oz for a semester to study.
Nothing in our lives can compare
To the time that we had while we were there.
We embraced all the culture, used all the lingo,
Held a koala, took a photo with a dingo.
Sydney’s Opera House was an amazing sight.
We even made a sandwich using vegemite.
We took many classes to become expertise
On Australia’s background and the aborigines.
The country’s so big; we’ve only seen far and few.
There’s so much more we were dying to do.
From Sydney to Melbourne is where we went.
During our semester, that was the extent.
There wasn’t enough time to do all our plans.
We wanted to go North and explore the city of Cairns.
Missing the Great Barrier Reef seemed like a crime.
It will supposedly be gone in 20 years time.
The adventurous lifestyle we wish to absorb.
Skydiving, bungee jumping, we would even zorb!
But the experiences we had, we’ll never forget.
We still keep in touch with the friends we met.
Even when school wasn’t in session,
We were being taught so many lessons.
All the foreigners we met were hospitable and kind,
So we always live life with an open mind.
We attended the Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras,
So we don’t consider any sexual preference a flaw.
Live life to the fullest is what we learned.
We travel the world with the money we earn.
With every paycheck we get, we put our money away,
So we can go back to oz, our second home, some day!!
