Elaina and I went on a snow boarding trip in 2006. The high lights included getting our bathing suits on in -5 degree weather and throwing our coats on over them. Then racing out on to the slopes as early as possible. We wouldn’t stop to eat so we would pack power bars. I’m not sure if any one has ever eaten chocolate power bars in that cold, but they melt all over your mouth…. So we would continue our day on the slopes, sliding off banks, falling, while getting off the ski lifts in front of studly guys, and taking in pounds of snow in our trousers. But at the end of the day the freezing and fun all paid off. At last the hot springs, what better than 100 degree water while snow sprinkles onto your shoulders. The bikinis had a purpose, after we would freeze our hair in what ever the current style was to be that day, we’d dare each other to run out in the snow in our bathing suits. If you could last more than a minute you’re a champ! The reason I would love to take this trip with my favorite mate Elaina is, it will be the last opportunity for us to travel with each other. In the next year I shall be graduating from college and engaged. While she shall be continuing school and missions. Life is taking us in very different directions quickly, and would love to spend this little bit of time left on a trip of a life time.
