Friends

How do I describe to you my friendship with Keala? How do I describe in words the many nights of dancing ‘till dawn in the streets of Salvador during Carnivale? How do I tell you about the underground Malaysian raves with Grand Prix drivers? How do I describe to you, dancing side by side with my best friend and 16 laughing, lively, little girls in an Indian Orphanage? Even more, how do I share with you the feelings of being woken up at 6a.m. with her sweet little voice, screaming “Get up! We have things to see, places to go, people to meet!” This is a girl that can handle Indian food all the while getting equally as excited by finding a grilled cheese in the middle of nowhere, Indian. This is a girl who is up for anything and always down for everything. The thing is I can never describe to you how close we are or how fun and worry free our travels are, because she’s my best friend not yours. The thing is, is that, when we travel together there’s not a worry in the world because it doesn’t matter where we are, or what troubles we encounter, as long as we’re together we are always having fun and life’s always a blast. As cliche as it is, she’s the ying to my yang!
