My best friend and I love traveling together. We focus on the journey rather than the destination.

Friends

Why not win a trip to Australia with the person you hate the most? For me, that person is my best friend, Kelsey. When thinking of Kels, many thoughts of hatred come to mind. I hate that when we spend time together, my abs hurt from laughing so hard. I hate that there is someone else in the world that is actually more adventurous than me. I hate that no matter where she goes, she never meets a stranger. I hate that every time she finishes my sentences, I have to pretend that’s not what I was going to say. I hate that while making a gourmet meal, her one job was to stir yet the sauce was somehow burnt. I hate that I can’t look at her for more than three seconds without cracking up. I hate that no matter what we’re doing, whether it be sitting at home watching a movie or spending a weekend driving to some random town we picked by throwing a dart at a map, I walk away feeling like I had the time of my life. I hate that school gets in the way of our random road trips. I hate how children stare at me yet immediately flock to her, even thousands of miles away on a Nicaraguan mission trip. I hate that no matter where we go, her pictures always turn out better than mine. I hate that no matter what sport we play, I’m always just one point behind. I hate that if she were writing this, we’d definitely win this competition. I hate that we’re college students and don’t have the money to take this trip on our own. I hate that most people search their whole lives and never find a friendship like ours. I hate that it would be impossible to find a better friend than her, and even more impossible to imagine going to Australia with anyone else.

Volcano in Managua

We spent time in Nicaragua working at an orphanage, and while there we hiked to this volcano.

Cliff Jumping

After a day of hiking at Fall Creek Falls on the hottest day of the year, literally, we decided to do a little cliff jumping to cool off.

Post-it Notes

Sometimes you don’t have to travel more than a mile down the road to have a little fun. This took 3,000 post-it notes and 90 minutes… well worth it.

Pattie's

This was taken at Pattie’s Restaurant in Kentucky.

Mr. Belding

Is that Mr. Belding you ask? Why, yes, yes it is. We met him at a NACA conference in Charleston, South Carolina.
