My name is Nicole and I’m addicted to traveling!

Otwell and I met in March 2006, right before we each left for Europe. He went to live in Germany and I went to Greece. Otwell came to visit me, and the next thing I know, we were falling in love on a beautiful island in the Cyclades islands-Naxos, Greece.

Once we were back home, we jumped back into our daily routine, which was quite different from the routine in Greece! The travel bug bit me again and I decided to run off to New Zealand for summer 2007. I worked as an intern for a nonprofit company. Otwell went to study European Union law that summer, and flew to New Zealand once he was done with his adventure! I had an apartment in Wellington, New Zealand and he was able to stay with me. We took a two week vacation to the south island. We went glacier hiking, whale watching, vineyard-hopping, and crusing on the Milford Sound to name a few. We stayed in the cheapest hostels and made friends from all over the world! We still keep in touch with all of them. From Saudi Arabia to Fiji, they will each hold a special place in our memory.

Now, I have applied for graduate school and he is in his second year of law school. Otwell is interested in International Environmental law and we hope to live overseas together one day!We were both so excited about our next travel experience, and we are so lucky to have shared such wonderful experiences together. It’s not every day that you meet someone that shares your passion for travel and actually has the desire to chase their dreams. It’s a blessing to be in love with my best friend, and to have traveled to two beautiful countries with him.

Australia is beautiful and Otwell and I would truly enjoy making this trip part of our experiences and memories as a couple. I’m sure everyone says that no one would appreciate it more, but I’m confident that no other couple would benefit from an experience like this quite the way that Otwell and I would.

The Maori believe that the Milford Sound should be considered on of the wonders of the natural world- and I agree! It is so beautiful – it is emotionally moving!

We were hiking in Siphnos one of the last days of our Cyclades islands tour (Greece). As I looked over the edge of a cliff, I saw this beauitful little church.
Sometimes, when I’m freezing here in Kentucky in the middle of winter, or when I am stressed over life in general, I think of how I felt when I first saw this church- sublimely serene.

The supervisors on my trip were amazing! Last minute, they arranged a Greek Folk Dancing lesson on the beach at sunset. Here, we are in Siphnos, I tiny island in the Cyclades. We danced at sunset and had an absolute blast. This is one of my best memories from the trip.
By the way, this island is so remote, it only has 2 police officers!
