During my time studying abroad in Paris, I was in a very serious relationship: with the wonderful Métropolitan, or what some Americans refer to as Paris’ Subway. My fellow studiers-abroad were, naturally, in the same relationship, and you can see in Haein’s and Pamela’s faces here that it was a very happy relationship indeed! Although the Metro might not be the most obvious place for students to take pictures to remember their time in Paris, I really treasure this photo because it captures not only the beauty of my friends, but also the beauty of the Metro, and the ease and contentment we felt when taking it on our daily commutes and other adventures. Half the fun of traveling is in actually getting to your destination, and because taking the Metro feels like a mini-excursion itself, we definitely had a lot of fun while in Paris…
