I was in Paris, France for 3 days as a part of a 25 day journey through Europe.

Tour de France

Fun cut out on the English Channel Ferry

Napoleon's Tomb

Posing like Napoleon in front of his tomb

Boat Cruise

Down the River Seine

Top of the Arc de Triumphe

393 stairs later we had a great photo opportunity and a little bit of a work out!

Sacre Coeur

The beautiful, but very different, Sacred Heart Cathedral with the 2nd highest view of the city!

The Louvre

We obviously had to see the Mona Lisa

Palace of Versaille

Being very touristy with our headphone tourguides…

Palace of Versaille

It was huge! No wonder this caused the French Revolution- off with her head! Maybe not how I actually feel… but we later ventured to the spot where this event took place.

All lit up

The first ten minutes of every hour at night (probably not all night, but I believe from 9-12)- such an amazing sight- how was this considered an eyesore?

Fancy meal

We had dinner organized for us at a little cafe our first night in the city!

A French Espresso

Had to try the local goods- I have never been so awake for so long!

Meeting other tourists

At the end of our first night we decided to go to a pub near our hotel- and we met a group of Dutch boys there to see some “Futboll” games.

Inside the Cathedral Notredame

We didn’t have time to climb the bell towers, but one day I’ll go back! The stained glass was breathtaking!

My first crepe!

It was tomato and mozzarella- I was saving the sweets for a later stop along the Champs Ellyses! This was probably my favorite snack throughout Europe- I had four in three days! Eek!

The view from the top of the Eiffel Tower

I have always had a tiny fear of heights- but hey, you only live once! I was going to the top! The glass floor didn’t help the fear- but allowed me to push through it nonetheless- and it wasn’t bad! So I get to the top where Tom Cruise proposed to Katie Holmes, where the French cut the elevator cords to stop Hitler from putting the Nazi flag atop, and anext to a sign that showed me just how far away from home I was- and as much as I love my family and home, I couldn’t be happier.
