During my 25 day tour of Europe we also took a quick stop in Austria- a day in Salzburg onto a Ski Resort (no skiing as it was the summer, but still very relaxing and fun!).
We believe this is the fountain that she runs past in the beginning of The Sound of Music (which Austrians think is super lame apparently…)
Being rushed we didn’t get to actually check it out, I was more concerned about finding some local sheet music to take home and test out (I play the flute… )
Obviously took a quick peak- even if they weren’t in the movie, they would be worth checking out- BEAUTIFUL
We sat down at an outdoor cafe (that’s Lindsay (#2) and Pip I’m with) in order to try out what we were told by our Austrian guide was famous in Austria- Strudel! It was really sweet and slightly crispy- overall, fresh and delicious and I normally don’t even like raisins!
I’m still great friends with the majority of these people- traveling is an amazing bonding experience…
After Switzerland’s view and now this???? So amazing… I didn’t even mind handwashing my clothes in bathtubs when there was so much else to be thrilled about!
