This is a picture of my sister, Geraldine, and I over the summer. As you can probably tell, we kind of have a language of our own. We often like to say that we are sisters by blood, but best friends by choice. Geraldine has had an obsession with Australia for as long as I can remember. In fact, I used to work for Build-A-Bear Workshop and one Christmas I made her a koala bear. I even had an Aussie customer record “G’day to my mate Geraldine” on it. She loved it (and was very protective of who could listen to it since she didn’t want the batteries to die out!). The years have past since that Christmas, but Geraldine still has that koala as well as the dream to visit the land down under and “waltz Matilda”. And one day, it’s gonna happen so, watch out Australia! The Diaz sisters are coming!
