The markets in Guatemala are incredible: you can take home huge handmade quilts, hand-carved masks, jade jewelry and much more. Chichicastenango has one of the biggest markets, but beware, market day in Chichi is not for the faint of heart; the indigenous population has no problem pushing tourists to get through crowded streets and vendors are aggressive, but if you can stomach a little rough handling you will surely enjoy yourself, and come home with some valuable booty at a low cost.
