I’ve known my best friend and travel mate for almost eight years. We met when we were high school staff at Miracle Ranch. Back then he was known as “Tailbone” and I was “Oodalolly”, names which are chosen and voted on by other staff members after we have 30 seconds to tell about ourselves. Now we go by our true names, Tyler and Dionne. We’re inseparable. We love spending time together whether it’s just talking and laughing at his place, exploring water towers, conservatories, beaches and lighthouses at various parks in Seattle, backpacking in the Olympics or standing atop of a black diamond run enjoying the sites and preparing to ski down. We both also love to take photos of our latest adventure. We both love to travel and hope to go SCUBA diving soon, do a road trip somewhere on the West Coast and are looking forward to out next backpacking trip. Australia would be an amazing addition to our future plans! But, we’ve not only been there for each other through the fun times, but also through the hard times that life has brought, including helping my pass out hundreds of “lost” flyers for my cat Baby Rose. I simply do not know what I would do without my travel mate and best friend.
