Statue of Gregory of Nin

Statue of Gregory of Nin

This guy was apparently the first guy to translate the Catholic mass into Croatian, but I just thought he looked cool! His foot is very shiny from years of tourists rubbing it for good luck. He stands just behind the vast, impressive Roman-era Diocletian’s palace, which has now become Split’s old-town. You can lose yourself wandering through the narrow winding alleys and passageways of the palace, which now houses trendy bars, restaurants, hostels, and apartments. I wonder what he’s pointing at?
