My brother and I are twins (I’m a minute older, that is very important), and are half-Danish, half-Australian. We have always loved to travel together, probably because when you travel with someone, you really have to have unconditional love. Anyway, we were on a post-High School Eurotrip, and I don’t know if you have seen the movie, but in it there is an “interesting” scene involving twins, and as a result were the end of quite a few jokes with our friends. One night, in a bar in Sevilla, there was a couples singing contest. Not just any contest, but one with the actual Eurotrip song, “Scotty Doesn’t Know”. It was the opportunity of a lifetime, and the moment when we had to put our pride aside and just give it everything we had. We entered as one of eight couples, and as you can guess by this being the story I chose, we won. Free sangria never tasted so good! I hope at this point you don’t think we are incestuous… I think that is a really, really important side note, but on the contrary just two very close twins with open minds and looking for new experiences.

Having these kinds of memories with Sam is something I know I am unbelievably lucky to have, and since then all I have wanted is to have a similar experience, but in a place that actually means something personal to us – Australia. As somewhere so expensive to travel to, it has been really hard for us to truly understand what it is all about and everything that it has to offer. This would be an opportunity not just to have a new experience, not even just to understand my heritage, but to do it with the one person in my life that will always be my constant. I hear there are some pretty great bars there too, so maybe we will grace the land of Oz with our Eurotrip ballad as well!
