This picture was taken from the window of Hagia Sophia in Istanbul, which was first a church and then was converted into a mosque and is now a beautiful museum filled with historically significant mosaics. Through the window in the foreground you see the domes of Hagia Sophia, and then the big mosque you see in the background is Sultanahmet, more commonly known as “the Blue Mosque,” another famous, and still active, mosque in Isntanbul.
