This photo was taken in South Africa during a tour of the Langa Township, which is the older Black Township in Cape Town. The Township elected to have tourist pay for walking tours of their community. Residents felt paid tours would bring money to their community, which was a way for the community to help its self rather than to receive “outside” assistance. At the end of our tour, these four young girls ran to greet us. The smiles on these young girls’ faces say it all-life is about what you make it rather than about what you have!
