Lennox and I have traveled all over together! We met each other in London where we both studied abroad with Florida State University in the spring of 2006. My most memorable moment while traveling with her has to be the two flights we had when we traveled to Switzerland together! I am not to great on planes but Lennox assured me that she would not make fun of me while we where up in the air. All was well until…While flying over the Swiss Alps in our tiny plane the pilot came over the intercom and said “I don’t mean to alarm anyone but it appears that our landing system has failed. But don’t worry we have enough fuel to get us back to London if we have to!” I wouldn’t say that I panicked at that moment, but I did become quite scared. Meanwhile all Lennox could do was laugh at my frightened face! That’s when it hit me- why did it matter if we had enough fuel to get back to London if we couldn’t land the plane!? To make a long story short the pilot fixed what was wrong with the plane and we did land safely at our destination! Wheew! We ended up having a great time in Switzerland. But… the flight back was…not so good. Our flight back to London got mixed up and we didn’t even recognize the name of the city we were going to land in! But we were assured that it was “Close to London.” We could have stayed in Switzerland and caught the morning flight- but that would have cost more money then we had and we had to make it back in time for class or we would be expelled (FSU has very strict rules about missing classes while studying abroad!). So we took our chances with the flight to nowhere! Again to make a long story short Lennox and I managed to find a bus back to London from the random air port and we made it back in time for our Monday morning classes!
