Thom and I have been close for a long time, but we have not had nearly enough opportunities to travel together due to time and budget restrictions. We have been talking about travelling to Australia for years, but our goal is still far from reach.

I love travelling with Thom because he can turn even the most frustrating experience into a fun, memorable one. One memory that comes to mind is the evening we spent trapped in Dresden because we missed our train. Needless to say, every hotel within walking distance from the train station was full, and neither of us were too keen on spending the night in the station. He suggested that we make the most of our predicament by locking our enormous bags up and walking around the city. Happily, we stumbled upon a festival and sat around a bonfire with our new friends until dawn. It was the most random and by far most fun night of our entire trip.
