The first time I met Becky was at orientation for a study abroad trip to Ireland which was organized by Michigan State. The first day of orientation we were doing ice-breaking activities and our group was divided into four. I was part of the fourth group as was Becky. When we were trying to figure out which place to go, we looked each other in the eyes, and our first words to each other were exactly the same and said at the exact same time. “Are you a cuatro?” Neither of us are from Spanish speaking backgrounds but somehow we shared a very strong and intangible connection. Throughout the rest of the trip Becky and I became the best of friends and amazing travel companions. We both share a great zeal for life and our instincts share the same wavelength so decision making is easy and we are always open to trying new things.
