Jeff is my absolute best friend in the world! We actually worked together and started hanging out, which soon led to us dating. About 2 months after we began dating, we took a trip to the Dominican Republic, which was amazing. While we were there, we took several tours, but the most memorable for both of us was a wonderful tour to a secluded island that was surrounded by a small coral reef where we could snorkel. The snorkeling was amazing! We both had underwater cameras and took pictures of fish and of us just being goofy. One thing that cracked both of us up was when I took a picture of a fish right before a sea turtle swam up and ate it. All of the snorkeling was fantastic; however, one of the best parts about this trip was our tour guide, who lovingly referred to himself as Sexy Chocolate Bob. He was so knowledgeable about the country and the culture and really taught us a lot about it. I have always loved traveling, and after this trip Jeff was hooked as well (on me and traveling). We got married in 2006. The next summer we traveled to New Zealand, visiting both islands. This picture here was taken in New Zealand after we had just finished what we refer to as a ride in the “giggle ball”, or in its proper terms, Zorbing. Basically what it is is a giant ball suspended by rainbow colored bungee cords inside another giant ball. They throw you and a bucket of water in and roll you down the hill. It was so much fun; as soon as we got in, we began to laugh and laughed the entire way down as we were slipping and sliding all over. We got so tangled up by the time we reached the bottom, we could hardly move, both from laughing so hard and from literally just being tangled. I love traveling with Jeff, because we are so goofy together and have fun no matter what we are doing. He is also willing to go along with some of my crazy ideas; like when we were in Glacier National Park and I stripped down to my skivvies and was just about to jump from a 30 foot cliff into a river below, when I saw him run by and dive in (also in his skivvies).
