Jenna and I have only known each other for two years, but we are as close as sisters. We were paired up as roommates during our freshman year, and we certainly got the luck of the draw. And it’s a good thing we liked each other too, since our room was meant to be a single. We have gotten through many tough times together; dealing with loss of loved ones, the possible separation of my family, rocky relationships, stressful classes, and now the separation of the two of us. This is our last year together because Jenna is transferring in the fall. She wants to fulfill her dream of working with animals and she just can’t do it here. I want this year to be the best year ever, filled with as much fun as humanly possible.
We have traveled together to West Virginia twice, once to Blackwater Falls and once to Canaan Valley. Between camping, hiking, whitewater rafting, trail riding, and attempting to mountain bike, we had a blast. We both want our next excursion to be abroad, and we have both dreamed of going to Australia. To be able to go on this trip would mean the world to both of us. We will always be best friends, and we will always be sisters, but we won’t always be together. Since we can’t live together next year, I want us to go out with a bang. This trip would be the icing on the cake and make this year the best year ever.
