I love travelling with Jessie because she is adventurous and is always up for anything. We travelled the south island of New Zealand for 2 weeks in a camper van in July of 2006. It was really cold and we were too broke to afford to plug in at a motor camp so we just parked in residential areas to sleep. Most of the time we would get a knock on the door by the police early in the morning telling us to leave, in which case we would just drive to another residential location and go back to sleep. One time though we managed to stay in one place throughout the night, parked in front of a house in Wanaka… Jessie got out of the van in the morning and there was a man standing outside his house that started chatting with her and volunteered to let us use his bathroom. We thought it was pretty funny considering what we had been going through. The picture attached is one of Jessie in the camper van, proud of herself for driving on the left side of the road :)
