My bestest pal and I went to Europe for 3 months at the end of 2006. It was probably the best experience of both our lives and we came home even better friends. Our plan of attack was ‘strategic wandering’...we went in the general direction of whichever monument we wanted to explore & took whichever road we thought looked interesting. Often, we found more interesting things on the back-ways and random streets than going direct to the touristy stuff. We went to Budapest on a whim, made friends with some Italian grandmothers, biked around Ireland, hitchhiked in France, saw major historical sites, and made friends from all over the world. My best friend and I both have a deep passion for travel & Australia is on both our lists of ‘Future Destinations’!
