My friend Kristy and I have been the absolute best of friends for the last 5 years. She’s the cream cheese to my bagel. We always have the best, craziest adventures. Living in Tampa for high school, we would go to the beach and live it up in the Florida sun. Now that we are in college, we have gotten the chance to explore the world a bit. Recently I was studying in Costa Rica and Nicaragua; Kristy went to Italy and then to Spain. Our love of traveling is one of the biggest things we have in common, in addition of course, to our love for languages and our addiction to finding new and upcoming bands and going to local shows. We’ve been told that we make an interesting pair. She’s the creative type with a not-so-secret obsession for Japanese anime while I’m the science major-slash-doctor in the making. Sadly, with the high price tag of college tuition, lab fees, books, room and board, and bar money, we can’t afford to go traveling together right now. A backpacking trip through Europe has been in the works for some time. But don’t you worry, we WILL find a way to explore this wonderful wide world of ours! Ever since I have known Kristy, we have always talked about going Down Under. This trip to Australia would be just so amazingly perfect and the chance for us to finally get to travel together.
