When most of my friends talk about travelling, they talk about laying out on a beach or having drinks on a cruise ship. Stuff like that has never interested me. When I travel I think of it as my full time job for the duration. I spend every waking moment trying to get as much out of the experience as I can. I only have one friend with the same appreciation for travel as I have. My friend Kevin and I talk for hours on end about all the places that we want to go and how much we wish we could spend all of our time exploring the world and seeing everything that there is to see. For the holidays I got him a few really interesting travel books. I liked them so much that I made my mom buy them for me too. I even brought them to class with me and would read them when I probably should have been paying attention to my professor. Oops!

In all honesty, I want to travel more than anything else. I’m going to college in hopes of being able to get involved in international education. This would give me the chance to work with kids and to see the world, two of my favorite things. Kevin is poised to graduate with a BA in Visual Media Arts from Emerson College. He hopes to work in the documentary realm, which would give him the chance to travel as well. But before we get cushy jobs that let us travel the world on the corporate dime, we’d love for you to throw us a bone and give us the chance to see some of the world without hurting our wallets too much.
