Lindsay, or the Dew as we like to call her, is my perfect travel companion because we complement each other so well. We do compliment each other as well, which helps in the complementing. When I am the one with the directions, she reminds me to loose myself completely in the experience, in another culture. On many occasions, I would be so focused on leading us to the destination that I wouldn’t notice an interesting side street that Lindsay would then point out and we would then have a fabulous adventure. In this photo, I was trying to lead us to the other side of the Seine, but she reminded me to pause and really relish in being able to look on so many beautiful things. While I tend to stray on the serious side of things, Lindsay is lighthearted, so we keep each other in balance and are therefore encouraged to venture outside of our comfort zones. Without her, my last travel adventure wouldn’t have been quite as marvelous as it was.
