Vanessa is my cousin and the sister I never had. Growing up, we were both very close and always had so much fun with one another. I was lucky enough to study abroad with her in Florence, Italy for 3 months. Traveling with Vanessa is so much fun, she brings out the excitement in me and knows how to make the best of things. She is one in the few I could see myself traveling with, when you put us together it could either mean trouble or good times. In Europe we traveled to Paris, Munich (for Oktoberfest, which was the most fun I’ve ever had), Amsterdam, London, Edinburgh, Dublin, and of course all around Italy. There, in Europe we had so much fun and got into so many adventures. With us traveling we were very bad at timing. We missed our flights and trains so many times. One time when we were heading to London and we had to take a train to Pisa because that was where our plane was departing from. From Florence we had to take an early train, which was hard because we went out the previous night and ended up staying up all night (bad idea). While trying to stay up we both ended up falling asleep two hours before out train, thus we ended up missing it and had to take the next train out of Florence. When we got to Pisa airport we still had a half hour till out plane departed, BUT we had to check in a hour before, so they didn’t let us checked and we had to take the next flight which was over 6 hours later. So there we were stuck in Pisa, so we had only one choice to do…go see the Leaning Tower of Pisa. However when we got there we were both so exhausted I ended up falling asleep in front of the church while Vanessa looked around came back and fell asleep next to me under the hot sun. When we woke up after probably an hour or two we both had sun burns on our back and were wet from sweating. When we got up we were semi refreshed, at least we got some sleep that’s all we cared about and it was about time to head back to the airport and make our way to the UK.
