My friend and I are heading to montreal for a long weekend. both of us love art history (and therefore, museums) and walking around..but we're both lazy bums and are too lazy to look around beforehand and see what we can do. We're staying right off st. catherine street in the more downtown area. Does anyone have suggestions for what to do in montreal? I was thinking we could walk down to the old city and explore for a day..but any concrete places that we should go to while in montreal?
ok suggestions! go to the old port is so beautifull, also go to notre dame cathedral… and please try not to pay fro the entry.. just argue that you are catholic and it is unfair to pay when you wnat to pray.. ( my bro and I did so.. and they let us in for free… well they asked us not to take pics… but.. you can hide your camera!!)
Also go to Saint-Joseph’s oratory… and well the cementary is a great place to visit also.. you see all kinds of graves…( I know its sound creepy….but a lot of tourist go there)I think Mcgill university is also cool..if you go up to the mountain you will have a wonderful view of montreal! and last place… go to the casino! have a save trip and have tons of fun! you will love that city specially cause now it shouldnt be that cold!
