Cliche?

Most people think "Oh duh... boringgg" when someone says that they'd love to go to Italy. It is perhaps one of the most cliche places to want to go, along with France, because they're two of the most known european countries. But I'm pretty convinced that the only people that would think that are people who've simply heard it too many times and don't know the special treats that come along in a country. I'm well aware of many of the things and much more intriqgued by the surprises that would come along with it.. and Italy is just one of the countries I'd love to visit and learn about.

This is my first blog post on Sta Travel and I joined yesterday. I'm excited to have found a site with people who share my same interests in travel and such. I'm planning to travel as soon as the opportunities present themselves and I think this is a pretty good start. I'm still in high school and I'm trying to do really well in it so that I can travel more and maybe even go to a school in Italy. Who knows. Either way, whatever I am saying now is just a a reflection of my traveling passions.

to meet new people,
to learn new customs,
to see new places,
to breathe new air,
and yet see the sameness in it all,
I'm stoked!

The beauty of the art of travelling is that it should be non-judgemental. As we are all different, so are our own personal travel tastes and goals. Personally, I don’t feel as though travelling should be about avoiding the “cliche” places. People should travel when and where they feel the need to go. If you feel a pull toward Italy. Go. And if you do, I recommend to go to Siena, rent a moped and drive through the Tuscan countryside. But that’s just my recommendation.
