“We travel, initially, to lose ourselves; and we travel, next, to find ourselves. We travel to open our hearts and eyes and learn more about the world than our newspapers will accommodate. We travel to bring what little we can, in our ignorance and knowledge, to those parts of the globe whose riches are differently dispersed. And we travel, in essence, to become young fools again – to slow time down and get taken in, and fall in love once more.” – Pico Iyer
For me, this quote directly explains why I cannot wait to move to London. Iam going to explore everything there is in this world-why should I limit myself? At this moment, i am trying to do the best I can to avoid anything that may interrupt my plans. And, to ignore the possiblity of anything holding me back- so If I may push you away, in some sense it's inevitable- only to maintain my focus. I want to find more of myself in other places-to be inspired by things so captivating that you lose your sense of belief and ideology of the history and beauty around us. To explore the history of such places as the Windsor castle- and all the tangible relics of this remarkable past. To not only live through exploring, but learning and experiencing what others may have once found so intriguing. I am inspired by the creativity within the arts, and things which are truly meaningful. And for me, it is to not only love the modern world, but to embrace the world of the past.
