Hiya!

I am preparing myself to travel to Vietnam in January and February. I will be riding my bike from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City! I am also going to become a Vietnam Travel Expert for STA Travel. I thought it might be nice to start a blog about my experience of preparation for the trip, and updates along the way while I am in Vietnam (if i can find internet access).

Currently, I am armed with my passport, my tickets, and two lonely planet guidebooks - Vietnam and the pocket guide to Vietnamese. So far i've taught myself "Xe Dap" (sa daap), which means bicycle. Next week i'll have to learn "please", "thank you" and "i'm a vegetarian"!

I look forward to getting any input from seasoned Vietnam travellers, and I look forward to becomming the next Vietnam Travel Expert! Feel free to send me questions too!
