Ready for Europe

12 more days and I'll be leaving Mexico and the US and all of my friends and family for the longest I've ever left anyone before.

Last february I met an exchange student from Austria, Klaus. I live in Tijuana and Study International business in Universidad Autonoma de Baja California, which is the Univeristy of the State of Baja, so we get many exchange students from all over the world every semester. Klaus seemed cute but quite serious for my taste, so I didnt pay much attention to him.

Later that week we were introduced through a friend at a bar and couldnt stop talking... since that day we became really good friends and eventually got in to a relationship, which I thought would'nt last long since he was leaving at the end of the semester. We ended up falling in love with each other, moved in together to a beach house in Rosarito for the last 2 months left for his stay and traveled a bit through the Baja.

I was planning on applying for an exchange program to Spain, but once I met Klaus I figured what a better place than Austria to study and learn some german! haha..

So I applied, and was accepted! Now I'll be studying my 8th semester in Johannes Kepler University Linz with my boyfriend =)

I've never had an experience like this before. As you might suppose, I travel back and forth from Mexico and to the US for many reasons (mostly shopping, hehe), and know many parts of both countries, but have never been to any other place.

Now that I got this opportunity I want to make the most out of it and travel as many european countries as possible. Klaus already bought tickets for Barcelona, Spain, and from there we plan to travel to France through the whole cote d' azur. Lots of plans... but for now I'm just getting ready everything I need to take to live happily in a mostly cold country for the next 6 months of my life... will keep you updated...
