So I worked my butt off and finally submitted my STA World Traveler Intern 2008 video! The opportunity is something out of this world and I think it's an honor to even have the 1 in a million possibility of becoming this year's intern! I have been lucky enough to have a few great adventures- but mainly within the United States. I had one major trip to Europe for a month after graduation (the first time... I guess I like being educated?), which was an amazing experience. However, it really just opened up my excitement for the world exponentially. This morning I watched all of Rachel's videos on youtube and I think she did a tremendous job at inspiring others to travel. While watching her videos I felt the nerves and thrill of skydiving for the first time, the fear of that Absinthe drink, the experience of spending a day with Pandas- AND I felt that I had a better understanding of some of the things that each destination had to offer- and I would go to each and every one of them!

All in all, this is a mind boggling opportunity- how can something so awesome be real? Whoever, hopefully me, but there are other great people I must admit, has huge shoes to fill. She did an amazing job and the person who is given the opportunity this year needs to realize it's so much more than an awesome summer vacation. This is life changing, educating through experience, sharing and a responsibility- all of which I was born ready for.
