GAP Adventures, Panama Experience

I did a GAP trip last summer called the Panama Experience, and it was the first time I had been to Panama, and it was so much fun! We started in the north of the country and worked our way down to Panama City. Bocas Del Toro was so much fun! It was a great little backpacker town with lots to do at night on the town. In the day time, there were tons of beaches to visit in the area and lots of snorkling and surfing spot. From there we went to Boquette, a little town in the mountains. I did this amazing coffee tour, and got to drink lots of really good coffee so I was in heaven. Panama city on a Saturday night was sooo much fun. There is this entertainment district with tons of clubs and bars and the people watching was great! We had so much fun and I think we pretty much stayed out all night, which seemed customary. Seeing the Panama Canal was also amazing! It's just one of those things that when you stop to think about it, it just sort of blows your mind. When I got back from Panama, I was recommending it to all my friends. One of them went and got jumped and robbed, and didn't have nearly the same experience I had. So I do recommend Panama, but maybe I recommend doing it with a group, like I did. I was traveling by myself, but I don't speak Spanish, and I wanted to feel safe. I'm so glad I choose to do a GAP trip, because I feel like I saw more than I would have if I had done it on my own, and I met some really amazing people, and I always felt safe and I had a great time.
