Wow - let me start off with saying first I vowed to never have another blog again. Let's just say that since the year 2000-something or other I've gone through about 4 or 5 blogs. I mean there are just way too many phases of my life up online somewhere.
But I guess it’s in my iGen genes to blab my life out for the world to see in hopes that someone will read it. The recent revelation of quarterlife.com doesn’t help my blogging needs any. In fact, it’s inspired me to possibly video blog. But I don’t like the sound of my voice.
NEITHER HERE NOR THERE
So London – fantastic city. Love the lifestyle, love the accents, love how close it is to France. Don’t love the exchange rate. I tried to spend as little amount of time there so I wouldn’t have to pay anything in £s.
Things to do before you go to London:
Get a London Visitor Travel Card to give you unlimited access to the Tube/Double Deckers for 3 or 7 consecutive days for all zones. I used it to go from the airport to the hostel and from the hostel to the city centre. It’s great because it makes the large city seem smaller. It doesn’t matter where you stay there’s always a fabulous public transport to get you there!
Book a day tour. The best are walking tours. It gives you an orientation of the city and sometimes they offer a discounted meal. Plus I love to walk. I feel accomplished when walking places. Like in NYC – I’m the ultimate NYC walker.
AVOID SPENDING MONEY IN THIS CITY AT ALL COSTS.
I don’t know if I can stress that anymore. It just makes me sick to think about. Get everything you want to get done in Londong (tours, train passes etc) done before you leave so you pay for it in $$ not mucho £££££££££s
So let London give you a call – just make sure they’re not calling collect!
