Hey guys,
I'm in the great state of Texas (yee-haw) right now with everyone at STA Travel. I am in awe at how well-organized, friendly, and casual everyone is here. It's actually kind of funny - the major head offices for STA Travel are located in the three metropolises of the universe: London, Melbourne, and Lewisville. Yes, yes. (Insert tumbleweed here.)
But seriously, Amanda and Olivia (from the STA Travel Marketing team) came by the airport and had this gorgeous sign that read "Welcome to Texas Pat Blute"! I was also greeted by this extremely joyful woman who was just ecstatic to hear about the internship. Props to you! Little did I know this miraculous sign would be followed by a billboard, my own cubicle, cool STA gear, and meetings. I feel like a business person (minus the briefcase and muttering about who broke the coffee machine). STA Travel Headquarters is literally this surreal place. They have cubicles and paper and computers and maps and people. It's one of the most legit offices I have ever seen. (And trust me, I've seen "The Office".)
But, probably the best experience so far was Wal-Mart. Let me explain: I have never been to Wal-Mart. Ever. Amanda even told me: "You literally live on/around/under a rock." You can't just believe that prices are rollin', rollin', rollin' until you see it in person. So Amanda strapped on her "Welcome to Wal-Mart!" cheer and we voyaged through the aisles. This is the chaos that ensued. Enjoy and stay

Hahaha, Pat, you would be that one kid in this world who’s never been to Wal-Mart.

I understand. I’m originally from the Cape too and I think the only time I ever went to a Walmart was the one in Falmouth, and at that point I was probably 20.
